《成为涟漪》是一件由机械运动与镜面布料构成的动态装置。大幅镜面布料悬挂在空间中，其背后隐藏着一套由程序控制的机械装置。机械结构从背面不同位置触碰布料，使其不断振动、起伏与变形。由此产生的波纹沿镜面向外扩散、相互叠加与干涉，仿佛信号在空间中传播。不断起伏和扭曲的镜面，将周围空间的倒影转化为一幅持续变化的山水图景。
当观众站在作品前，身体的倒影也随着布料的运动而扭曲、变形，逐渐融入这片由机械运动与镜面反射共同构成的山水之中。观众既是景观的观察者，也成为景观的一部分。传统山水中人与自然的观看关系，由此转化为身体与技术环境之间的动态关系。
作品借由水波的扩散与干涉，隐喻日常生活中无处不在却难以直接察觉的电磁信号，如无线电波、Wi-Fi 和蓝牙信号。随着人造物与技术网络持续改变我们感知自身及周遭世界的方式，镜中的身体也成为不断被重塑的图像。成为涟漪，即是成为信息。

Becoming Ripples is a kinetic installation composed of a large suspended sheet of mirrored fabric and a concealed, computer-controlled mechanical system. The mechanisms touch the fabric from behind at different points, causing its reflective surface to vibrate and deform. Ripples spread outward, overlap, and interfere with one another, resembling signals propagating through space. The shifting reflective surface transforms reflections of the surrounding space into an ever-changing landscape reminiscent of traditional Chinese shanshui painting.
As the mirrored fabric continuously shifts and distorts, visitors see their own reflections transformed and drawn into the landscape. They become both observers of the scene and part of it. The relationship between humans and nature traditionally explored through landscape painting is reimagined here as a dynamic relationship between the body and its technological environment.
Through the propagation and interference of ripples, the work evokes the invisible electromagnetic signals that permeate everyday life, including radio waves, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. As technological systems and artificial objects continuously reshape how we perceive ourselves and the environments we inhabit, our reflected bodies become images in constant transformation. To become ripples is to become information.

专题展览“山鸣水应”展出选自M+藏品系列的作品，探讨在后工业时代愈发走向虚拟的世界中，山水与人类的复杂联系。山水是中国哲学和诗学中不可或缺的文化元素，启发了东亚千年的水墨传统。作为万物感应的体现，山水演绎出感官与想像、瞬息与永恒之间的微妙共感，更是了解人与自然的关系的重要概念。
除了水墨画，此展览还展出雕塑、流动影像、声音、设计及建筑等领域的作品，重新想像山水的概念，寻觅启发及回响。
Shanshui: Echoes and Signals

Shanshui: Echoes and Signals is a thematic exhibition of works drawn from the M+ Collections that explores the complex connections between landscape and humanity in our post-industrial and increasingly virtual world. Shanshui (‘mountain and water’) is a cultural legacy integral to Chinese philosophical thinking and poetic imagination, and motivates a millennium-old tradition of ink painting across East Asia. Although commonly translated as ‘landscape’, shanshui can take us far beyond observable reality. It manifests invisible resonances—between stillness and motion, vision and imagination, the fleeting immediacy of experience and the persistence of history and memory.
The exhibition reimagines shanshui through sculpture, moving image, sound, design and architecture, and ink painting, searching for signals across contemporary mediums.
